Happy New Year - Gong Xi Fa Chai!!
I decided to keep a diary this time when I was traveling .... here are a few excerpts ... I arrived in Australia on Dec 20 to a huge welcome from my good friend Mike, who had just seen Avatar! To which I exclaimed ... I want to see it too!! Within half an hour I was sitting in IMAX watching one of my favorite movies now of all time in 3D. What a splendid display of technology, color and an inspiring start to my journey in OZ.
On Dec 25 I worked with my mother at the Wayside Chapel in Kings Cross where I performed three songs from MELT to a very appreciative audience. Was a really special day.
Then off on a holiday! 4 days on the central coast with very dear friends … one of the highlights was swimming with some dolphins at Macmasters beach. Australia really is remarkable!
Then southward bound to Bega on the south coast - my old stomping ground. A highlight was sharing the stage with my dear friends the O'donnell brothers.... and reconnecting with a lot of old friends and favorite beaches.
Back to Sydney to write with Stuart Hunter on my new song … it's done! Can't wait to share it with you. And then zip-zip onto a plane to Melbourne. Various meetings with publishers and management companies and then 3 days in Ocean Grove where I performed at Tranquility Base. What a special night, wonderful audience. I had such a lovely time playing with my dear friend Simon Lewis and singing all his Amanaska material. Check out his website www.amanaska.com
At this point I started to feel rather home-sick ...... It's so great to be back HOME!!! We are currently working on Club Acoustica March 11th, really hope you can make it ..... I am really looking forward to sharing the stage with my dear pals Elena and Saul who are traveling form San Fran especially. Then we're all off to Nikoi to take CA under the stars Saturday 13th :-) Life is GOOD!
