One Voice video plays at Formula Green Concert on Aug 22

Corinne's video of One Voice will open the August 22nd Formula Green Concert at the Singapore Management University's (SMU) campus.  This is the intro that we recorded in NY ... that will be played before the concert:

Flying across the world

She didn't allow me to take a picture of her at JFK, as she was getting ready to fly to Singapore via Frankfurt ... and then on to Australia for radio interviews, promotion and more meetings.  I guess no one is allowed to see the star dressed-down and casual :-)

NYC - here we come for some meetings and fun

We're in NYC for a total of 34 hours ... one night basically.  The main reason we came here is to meet with Lindblad Expeditions, who have generously provided all the footage that you can see in the MELT DVD.  We also met with Advance, which connects/assists Australians around the globe, in this case in the USA.  Looking to see how we could collaborate.

OK, OK ... we also had some fun.  We squeezed in the new must see attraction in NY, High Line Park.  Had a great dinner and soared to the top of the Empire State Building.  What a view and what an energetic and spectacular city.

 

The J-45 has to go back home ...

We are eternally grateful to Gibson guitars for loaning us a J-45 in Toronto.  It's bad enough that between the two of us we have 4 massive suitcases, carry-on luggage, and a banner stand ... the thought of having to carry an additional guitar case is too painful to consider.

I wonder if Madonna has to drag her own stuff around the world as well!

Corinne performs for ASAE's 2009 Annual Event

We arrive at 8am for the final sound check ... and are thrilled that everything is under control.  Corinne opens the general session at 9 am and thrills the crowds.  She starts with Rise and ends with Melt ... what a brilliant way to start the conference.

After the general session, the ASAE bookstore arranged for a CD/DVD signing outside the main hall.  We put Corinne behind the stand, pen in hand ... and off she goes ... signing MELT CDs/DVDs, chatting and engaging with her new fans.  She's in her element :-)

   

 

Time for rehearsals in Toronto

Today was rehearsal day.  Had a few technical glitches, but PCI, the production company, did a fantastic job solving all our problems.

Seeing MELT being projected on to 5 massive screens ... 3 vertical and 2 horizontal ... is awesome!  Sound is perfect.  It's going to be an amazing performance on Monday.

   

Picking up the J-45 in Toronto

Gibson guitar has been fantastic to loan a J-45 to Corinne ... and here is the photo of Ms. J waiting on a stand on Bloor street.

Corinne lands in Toronto

Corinne arrived to Toronto today ... several days early ... in order to get over the jet lag by Monday's performance.  This morning I went to pick-up her Gibson guitar that is on loan for the performance in Toronto.  Via the Singapore office of Gibson Guitars we got a sponsorship deal which enables Corinne to get a guitar on loan in any city where there is a Gibson store/distributor.  Do you know what this means?  Not having to lug an extra piece of luggage around the globe.  Yeah!
