I've yet to figure out why this restaurant is called this way!
Nestled into the hill of Fort Conning Park, this old black & white house has been tastefully converted into a wonderful restaurant. It's a great place to come for an executive lunch (at $35 for a 3-course set menu you can hardly go wrong!) or for a great dinner.
My preference is to sit outside, for you get this old colonial feeling while dining on some delicious prawns on a skewer, enveloped with parma ham. Last time I was there for lunch there was a little midday shower and we all mentioned how it felt like we were transported back 100 years into the colonial times while we were listening to the raindrops pitter-pattering on the rooftop above.
And when you're done with your meal, you can walk around the lovely heritage district of Singapore which surrounds the restaurant (between Stamford Road and Hill Street).
